Terms & conditions
These terms set out how we work together — from the quote through to the day of your move. They’re written to be readable; if anything’s unclear, ask us before you book.
Quotes
A quote is based on the information you give us and, where we survey, on what we see. If the move turns out to be materially different on the day — more to move, harder access, extra services — the price may change, and we’ll tell you before we proceed. Unless we say otherwise in writing, a quote remains valid for fourteen days from its date.
Booking and payment
Your move is confirmed once you accept the quote and we agree a date. We may ask for a deposit to hold the booking, with the balance due on or before completion of the move as set out in your booking confirmation. Payment terms are stated on your quote; where an invoice is issued, it is payable within seven days unless agreed otherwise.
Your responsibilities
Please make sure we have safe, legal access at both ends — including any parking permits, lift or loading-bay bookings and permissions we’ve flagged. Tell us about anything unusually heavy, valuable or fragile in advance. Items you pack yourself are your responsibility for packing quality; we’ll happily pack anything you’d rather we did.
Cancellations and changes
If you need to change or cancel, tell us as soon as you can. Where you cancel well ahead of the booked date, any deposit is refundable within fourteen days; cancellations close to the date may incur a charge to cover work already committed, as set out in your booking confirmation. If we ever have to reschedule for reasons beyond our control, we’ll agree a new date with you.
Insurance and liability
Our removals are insured, and we confirm the cover that applies with your quote. If something is lost or damaged in our care, tell us promptly and confirm it in writing — any claim should be reported within seven days of delivery so we can investigate properly. Our liability is as set out in these terms and your booking; it does not extend to items you packed yourself unless the damage was caused by our handling, nor to goods not declared to us.
International moves
For moves outside the UK, transit times depend on the route, the crossing, customs clearance and scheduling, and your written quote will describe what to expect. We prepare and manage the customs paperwork, but clearance timings and any duties or taxes levied by the destination country are outside our control.
Complaints
If something isn’t right, contact us at hello@wimbledon-removals.co.uk and we’ll work with you to put it right. We’d always rather hear about a problem than leave you unhappy.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
